Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.
Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.
The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
