It's tough for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The top summits have already been conquered.

We're talking about the unit that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, plus another six T20 titles, and earlier maintained over three years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a side that has won it all.

The fact it required until Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase above 300, regaining their record for the largest in the female 50-over format, is, honestly, a testament to the bowling attack that have worn canary yellow over five decades.

It is hard for their batsmen to possess a record if not afforded the opportunity.

Ultimately, the outcome of Australia giving up 330 runs was leader Alyssa Healy being given a chance to produce her newest gem.

At the subsequent ODI World Cup in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the final and was declared player of the series. She made sure her country would not fall short again.

The question of whether this newest brilliant performance topped that previous effort is debatable.

Some will argue the argument supporting the pressure of a final. Others can counter with the challenge that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What's clear is this century was much more difficult to predict.

The Christchurch destruction in 2022 happened while she topped the run-scoring charts, but this performance came after six matches in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"If you've been watching me in training, it was a frustrating experience because I feel like I've had no rhythm completely," said Healy.

"However when you step out on the field, your fighting spirit activate and you simply focus on the contest."

Healy's competitive nature has always been her key asset - and an irreplaceable characteristic in succeeding legendary former captain Meg Lanning.

She was tormented by India's promising player Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, dismissed by the emerging pace bowler in every game, but this time it merely gave Healy's inspiration.

A single came off Gaud's first delivery and from there the right-hander was on her way.

"An opportunity to take the field and lock in a contest with her and merely enjoy the moment in that regard, kind of motivated me," stated Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 pitches - her swiftest at the global tournament - and her hundred in 84 as she punished short deliveries, scoring 21 fours and three maximums.

Once she was removed her side required another 66 at run per delivery - an unconquered height now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"To chase 330 is unfamiliar ground so I'm pleased we have the confidence to achieve that now," stated Healy further.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it again but, if necessary, we are confident we can succeed."

These statements will be the ultimate thing competing nations at this championship should hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will win from any position has only strengthened - this success coming after success over Pakistan by 107 runs despite sitting at 76-7 at one point.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before an encounter with old rivals England in Indore in ten days, by which point a last-four spot may likely be confirmed.

It was in the semi-finals they left last year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - an encounter Healy couldn't play because of torn tissue in her foot as she led her country for the first time at a significant event.

So great is her will, she subsequently stated she wished she had played despite the injury.

But while she later admitted those physical issues have delayed plans to retire, this World Cup is likely to be her final tournament as skipper in 50-over cricket and she is yet to win an international tournament as captain.

Triumph in India would bring her to the top of her final mountain.
